Frequently asked questions

How do I name a circuit?

Many circuits have names used in popular literature and books. If such a name is there, then it is best to use it. If such a name doesn't exist. You can combine three pieces of information: Inventor, Circuit's function, year of publication. For example, Yu Lee Replica Opamp 1993. Remember to give complete citation and other popular names (if any) for the circuit in the description.

Can I remove an existing category or sub-category or re-organize?

Please don't remove any existing category or sub-category. Feel completely free to edit other stuff constructively. The higher level organization needs some control and we have got moderators for it. If you think that the current categorization is wrong or inadequate, please begin a dialogue with the moderator. The moderators are keen to hear from you. They will try to reach an agreement with you and do the re-organization if deemed required.

Can I change the template to suit the circuit I am adding?

Please don't remove a heading from the template if the heading is relevant, but you don't have information regarding it. Leave it as it is for someone else to fill. If the heading doesn't make sense for the circuit, feel free to remove it. Also feel free to add a new heading if you feel it is required for the circuit. Please do mail the moderator of the category if you add a new heading. This heading might be useful for the whole category or even all categories. This will help evolve the template for future use.
